This is another of those things that those of us with cisgender privilege may not think about unless we are close friends with someone who is transgender or who dares to challenge the gender norms of our society. One thing that struck me was the idea that someone who is transgender might have to wait until no one was in the bathroom before going in, or look down the hall to see if anyone was coming. Of course it makes sense, but I hadn’t thought of it until watching the video.
